Blue Lagoon by Nancy Tucker
Midnight Canyon by Nancy Tucker
Copper Canyon by Nancy TuckerWork in your choice of media using photos or borrowed ones as a beginning or departure point. Photos with simple shapes are best. I would recommend landscape or interiors for this exercise. You will use a single photo and do a variety of interpretations. One or several photos may be used as long as several variations of each are done. The emphasis is to get "out of the box" and think creatively. Works will be small which can be finished products or a study for a larger piece. Nancy says she has a lot of fun using this method to paint, and knows you will, too! Box Lunches will be provided and a menu will be sent out with choices following registration. Minimum: 8
“As long as I can remember I have always loved drawing and painting, being outdoors, and animals. Consequently, my work is an outgrowth of these interests, and I hope to create in my audience an appreciation of the same. My love of living in a rural setting is reflected in my work, which is usually begun en plein air and using my own photographs as a reference for creative interpretation. My goal is to express an emotional response that will draw in the viewer to react with his or her own subjective feelings. As a result, I hope the viewer will become more aware and responsive to the changing light patterns in his or her own environment.” – Nancy Tucker
