Over 90 years of Serving the Community
2019 marks The Montpelier Center building's 90th Anniversary in existence. Originally known as Montpelier High School, then Montpelier Elementary School until the early 80's, it sat vacant for a few years and was resurrected by the Save Our School Foundation in the late 80's and took on the role of the nonprofit you know today as The Montpelier Center for Arts & Education in 1991.
It has touched the lives of so many in our community over the past 90 years. To celebrate that, we commemorated this exciting anniversary occasion with an event showcasing moments in its history!

Montpelier LOVE Sculpture
MONTPELIER has its own LOVE sculpture thanks to a grant awarded by the Virginia Tourism's LOVEworks project! It is made of metal construction and features agriculture, education, and art, showcasing dozens of locally sourced historical and agricultural pieces.
Special thanks to our Creative Team, Nancy Cozart, Lois Shipley, and John Meola as well as those who have helped install from Liesfeld Contractors and JR Monolo Trucking & Contracting.
