The MCAE Annual Fundraiser held on the last Saturday in February was a rousing success!! The evening featured a live and a silent auction with the donations of items ranging from art pieces from various local artists, tons of gravel, merchant items, a weekend getaway, and many many more! Guests also enjoyed the musical talents of Premier Band and danced the night away!
The overwhelming success could not have happened with out the incredibly generous sponsorships and donations of many local businesses, members, and individuals. The 2017 Annual Fundraiser Committee did an outstanding job of garnering monetary support and the donation of auction items. They, along with the evening’s volunteers, created an event that was superb! The $30,000 goal was surpassed and will go a long way in helping to meet our programming Initiatives and needs for capital improvements.
A year of “Keeping the Dream Alive” was kicked off during the evening as a tribute to Barbara Duke Jones who gave many years of hard work, talent, and public relations in starting and supporting The Center. Barbara’s artwork will be on exhibit this summer and plans are being made to celebrate her legacy in an upcoming Fall event. Be sure to check out our website montpeliercenter.org for our list of sponsors and more pictures from the evening!
