MEET THE MUSICIANS
Hannah PierreAn accomplished pianist of 18 years, Hannah Pierre is honored to present “Somewhere in My Memory” at the Montpelier Center for Arts & Education. Hannah began her piano studies at the age of four, and throughout her music career, she learned the violin, cello, and flute, in addition to composing her own sacred piano arrangements. In May of 2023, Hannah graduated from Bob Jones University with a Bachelor’s degree in Keyboard Performance and a Certificate in Keyboard Pedagogy. During her time at BJU, Hannah enjoyed numerable music engagements as an accompanist, orchestral cellist, choral member, and church musician. Her first publication is an original arrangement of “The Solid Rock,” one of seven hymn arrangements recorded in her sacred album: “Blessed Assurance: My Story, My Song.” Hannah currently attends George Mason University, where she is pursuing a Master’s in Collaborative Piano. She also maintains Hannah’s Piano Studio LLC in Ashland, VA and directs a children’s choir at Mt. Victory Baptist Church in Henrico, VA. When she is not studying, performing, or teaching, Hannah enjoys spending time with her family, catching up with friends, and working in her community. Johnny Pierre Jr.Violinist Johnny Pierre Jr. has performed along the East Coast, providing special music and background ambience for churches, weddings, conferences, celebrations, and prayer breakfasts. He recently performed for the Hanover Republican Women’s Club in an event with VA’s First Lady Suzanne Youngkin. In May of 2024, Johnny obtained a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies with a minor in Criminal Justice at Bob Jones University; he held multiple officer positions on campus, including student body president from 2023-2024, in addition to participating in the BJU’s SC Student Legislature as a delegate. Johnny plans to attend Officer Candidate School for the U.S. Marines Corps in January of 2025. In his spare time, Johnny pursues fitness, sketching, and serving his local church.
