Calendar Show Details
The Pamunkey Woman's Club calendars are a unique artistic collection of local Revolutionary-era homes and buildings situated in Hanover County.
Drawn, painted, and sketched by Hanoverian artists at the request of Virginia Darnell, these distinctive renderings combined into an annual calendar series produced as a fundraising project by the Pamunkey Woman's Club over a span of 30 years.
This exhibit, therefore, offers artistic flair to historical structures that were eyewitnesses to the founding of our United States of America.
Where: The Montpelier Center Art Studio
Exhibit Dates: June 21 - September 30, 2025
Hours: 10:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday - Friday
This program is part of the Virginia American Revolution 250 Commission (VA 250), which was created by the Virginia General Assembly for the purpose of planning for—and commemorating—the 250th anniversary of Virginia’s participation in American independence. The Declaration of Independence, written primarily by Virginia’s Thomas Jefferson, was signed by fellow members of the Continental Congress on July 4, 1776.
