The Montpelier Center for Arts & Education is excited to announce the return of The Montpelier Center Farmers Market in 2020 on Tuesdays- new day, same time!
Since beginning in 2016, our first three seasons have been a hit. We strive to meet the needs of the community in which we serve. This market brings quality products, grown or created right here in this community, directly to you. We envision a community hub that will provide a space to join together with neighbors as well as an incredible locally focused resource to our area.
The Montpelier Center Farmers Market is a seasonal, producer-focused market. With vendors that include farmers and artisans, this market seeks to connect our community with quality, locally produced, and inspired goods.

Inclement Weather Policy
Recognizing that it is the goal of The Montpelier Center Farmers Market to provide a quality venue for producers to make their products available to the community, it is also our responsibility to ensure a safe and orderly market environment for vendors, visitors, and shoppers.
The Montpelier Center Farmers Market is open rain or shine. A slight sprinkling of rain or cloud cover still makes a great day to visit the market! However, certain weather conditions (high winds, extreme temperature, severe thunderstorm, tornado watches/warnings, etc.) may necessitate the market to move inside the ballroom or closure of the market (with or without prior notice) if it is determined that severe weather conditions could compromise the safety of vendors and shoppers. This closure will be at the Market Manager’s discretion with consultation from NOAA (National Weather Service) and The Montpelier Center for Arts & Education.
The Market Manager and The Montpelier Center’s management may make decisions to alter market times based on weather reports and on site market conditions. It is the authority of the Market Manager and The Montpelier Center’s management to close a market early or open late due to severe or inclement weather.
If weather conditions are severe prior to market hours, all vendors and shoppers will be notified as far in advance as possible that the Market has been officially closed or delayed due to weather conditions. If time allows, notices will be posted first on The Montpelier Center Facebook page and website, then by email. If severe or inclement weather is forecast, best efforts will be made to make an official call by 12 pm on market day and vendors will be notified by email or telephone.
If weather conditions turn severe during market hours, we ask that visitors and vendors take shelter in an enclosed vehicle or inside The Montpelier Center for Arts & Education until inclement weather has passed. Vendors must ensure that adequate weights are attached to their tents at all times during inclement weather. If winds are extreme, they may be advised to take tent canopies down to ensure the safety of fellow vendors and shoppers.
We hope to have as few inclement weather days as possible impact the market! If/when weather is severe, please use your best judgement and stay updated via our Facebook page and website.
