Beginners Fly Casting

Sunday, August 3 2:00 - 4:00 PM $75.00 per session A fly casting class typically involves learning the essential techniques required for fly fishing. In these classes, participants are taught how to properly cast a fly fishing line in order to accurately present the fly to the target. Students learn various casting techniques, such as overhead casts, roll casts, and false casts, and how to control the line to achieve different presentations. Instructors also cover topics like how to choose the right equipment, understanding different types of flies. Optional: Travel to Hanover Courthouse Park to put your new skills into practice. Check online at dwr.virginia.gov/licenses/ to learn more about fishing licenses requirements. You are responsible for fishing license. Class registration is for 1 adult and 1 child. Adult is required to be with their child for duration of class. |
